Maternity
There are three options available
-
Midwifery led care— provided at a community based clinic near you.

GP led care—provided at the surgery.

Consultant led care—at the hospital of your choice.

Cervical screening - regular weekly clinics

Family planning– a complete Contraceptive service is provided.

Child immunization
-
Child health surveillance-children.
Under school age are enrolled to have regular reviews by a health visitor and doctor.
Travel Clinic
Please book early (long before travel) to enable vaccinations to be effective.
Minor Ailment Scheme
We are running a Minor Ailment Scheme where patients if they have head lice, athletes foot , back pain, cold sore, constipation , contact dermatitis, cystitis, diarrhoea, haemorrhoids, hay fever, head lice, headache, insert bites, minor injuries, nappy rash, sprains and strains , teething, threadworm ,vaginal thrush, viral URTI, cold sore warts and verrucas.
Where there is a partnership between surgery and the pharmacy where the pharmacist will decide whether they should give you the medicine or whether you should be referred back to the doctor. Patients who do not pay for there prescription will still not pay for prescription.
Smoking Advisor Clinics
Also we have a smoking advisor who is available on Tuesday afternoons between 4.00 and 5.00pm.
Chlamydia Screening
We do not carry out Chlamydia screening but have the kits available for anyone between 15 and 24. Chlamydia screening is for patients who are sexually active and who may or may not have one or more partners.
